Copper Band Ring with 13 Herkimer Quartz Points
A sculptural and one-of-a-kind jewel, entirely handmade. Thirteen points of Herkimer quartz—the stone nicknamed "diamond" for its extraordinary internal light—are hand-set in a broad and striking copper band setting.
Each stone is individually selected and positioned: the result is a ring that is never replicated. Each ring is handmade: the arrangement of the quartz points, their shape, and the hue of the copper may vary slightly from the photos, making each piece unique and unrepeatable.

✦ The Stone: Herkimer Quartz
Herkimer quartz is named after Herkimer County, New York, the only place in the world where it is found in this distinctive form. Unlike most quartz crystals, it naturally grows with two pointed terminations — hence the nickname "Herkimer diamond."
- It forms in dolomitic sedimentary rocks approximately 500 million years old
- Its purity and transparency give it a diamond-like luster, despite being quartz
- Many specimens contain inclusions of ancient water or air bubbles trapped during formation
- Each crystal is naturally faceted
