• White Labradorite

Unlike the more common dark labradorite, the clear version emits a milky, blue, almost opalescent iridescence that appears on the surface in soft, magnetic flashes (an effect called labradorescence).
It is mined mainly in Madagascar, Finland, Russia, and Canada. In Finland, a famous sub-variety is Spectrolite, but white labradorite remains among the most sought-after for its purity and ethereal shimmer.
It is appreciated not for its perfection, but for the way it moves in the light, changing moods and reflections like a winter sky.
